                      Read This If You Want To Be Young Forever

                      How do you possibly choose the best options for aging better for yourself? According to Dr. Hyman, who is the senior advisor for the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Functional Medicine, “You can’t do everything at once, but over time you can explore different avenues to enhance your health and well-being and help you live a long, vibrant, active life.”  He also advises that one size (or regimen) is not right for everyone.  Each of us has to do our homework, be our own health advocates, and learn what’s best for our bodies.

                      What does Dr. Hyman do for his day-to-day longevity lifestyle?  Here are some of his longevity practices :

                      Diet

                      • He follows the Pegan Diet, which he has written a book about, focused on high levels of phytochemicals
                      • He drinks his Healthy Aging Shake, which is loaded with goat whey, a pomegranate powder from Timeline Nutrition, creatine from Thorne, Gut Food by Farmacy, MCT oil, Stamets 7 Mushroom Powder, macadamia milk (or other nut or seed milk), and frozen berries.

                      Exercise

                      • Four to six days of aerobic exercise with interval training
                      • Strength training
                      • Yoga

                      Sleep

                      • Eyeshades and earplugs to create a light- and sound-proof environment

                      Stress Management

                      • 20 minutes of meditation once or twice a day
                      • Breath work
                      • Spending time in nature whenever possible

                      • Time-restricted eating with a 14- to 16-hour window three or four times a week
                      • Take a sauna or cold plunge if/when available

                      • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy once a year
