                      Creating Recipes Is Like Therapy for Grace O

                      For me, it is never a chore or a bore to create recipes. In fact, it’s a kind of therapy for me, and it’s also a way to continue to learn about food and how our diets contribute to wellness.

                      TS-476674506 Recipe Therapy Vertical JumpI start with classic dishes, many of which I learned how to make from my mother, and I amp up their nutrient value with anti-aging super foods, some of them quite exotic but easy to obtain. I research new ingredients constantly, always learning about antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables from all over the world. I have a list of my favorite spices and grains in my new book, The AGE BEAUTIFULLY Cookbook. And I work with nutritionists to decide on the best possible proteins and sweeteners to use in my cooking. Now that I’m comfortable with how simple it is to incorporate FoodTrients into our daily meals, I am so happy to share what I have learned and many of my recipes with you on FoodTrients.com.

                      As I learned more about the effects of food on disease and aging, I was compelled to get back in the kitchen and create a cookbook that fused international and American flavors, familiar and exotic ingredients, and powerful nutrients that help the mind and body fight the diseases and wear and tear of aging.

                      TS-505464980 Recipe Therapy Vertical-HP copyThe result was my first anti-aging cookbook—The Age GRACEFULLY Cookbook: The Power of FoodTrients® to Promote Health and Well-being for a Joyful and Sustainable Life. Based on the food-is-medicine principle, it features easy and flavorful recipes based on twenty-six nutrients in food that help prevent aging. I call these nutrients FoodTrients.

                      Since the publication of the first FoodTrients cookbook, I’ve continued to develop new flavorful and comforting recipes designed to keep you young, healthy, and beautiful. For my new cookbook – The AGE BEAUTIFULLY COOKBOOK, I searched far and wide for better ways to incorporate the best nutrients into mouth-watering dishes that promote health and beauty—from the inside out. Each of the 100-plus recipes in this book is designed to deliver the nutrients you need for longevity with the flavor you demand and the tools you can use to enjoy a lifetime of beauty.

                      Each recipe provides the origin of the dish and alternatives for some of the ingredients (particularly if they are more exotic). Go forth and try them! You are in for a treat.
