Mushrooms May Have Anti-aging Potential

A team of Penn State researchers found mushrooms are rich in antioxidants that scientists say could be used fight aging and boost general health. The study suggests that mushrooms have high amounts of the ergothioneine and glutathione, both important antioxidants, said Professor Robert Beelman. Alcohol Use Biggest Risk Factor For Dementia

Alcohol use disorders are the most important preventable risk factors for the onset of all types of dementia, especially early-onset dementia. This according to a nationwide observational study, published in The Lancet Public Health journal, of over one million adults diagnosed with dementia in France. Caffeine May Help Kidney Disease Patients Live Longer

Caffeine consumption may prolong the lives in patients with chronic kidney disease, according to a study presented at ASN Kidney Week 2017. Coffee consumption has been linked to a longer life in the general population.
