TIPS FOR STORING AVOCADOS:
To keep cut avocados fresh and ready to use here are the best results for storing avocados in the refrigerator. If you leave the avocado pit in place until you are ready use, it also helps reduce browning.
TIP #1 – The Onion: Place remaining avocado on a bed of largely chopped red onion, the red onion helps draw air away from the avocado to reduce browning. Store in an air tight container and place in refrigerator.
TIP #2 – Lemon Juice: Squeeze lemon juice thoroughly coating the remaining avocado, creating a lemon juice seal helps reduce browning. Store in an air tight container and place in refrigerator.
TIP #3 – Plastic zip lock bag: Place remaining avocado in bag, squeezing as much air as possible out. Securely zip bag closed. Zip lock bags produce better results than plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Place in refrigerator.
