Saks Fifth Avenue, Beverly Hills rolled out the red carpet last week for cookbook author and creator of FOODTRIENTS®, Grace O for a signing of her latest cookbook, The Age Beautifully Cookbook. A tasting menu of selected recipes from the cookbook were also served at the festive May 19 event.
All proceeds received by the author from the book signing are being donated to the Museum of Tolerance to support their extensive Los Angeles community efforts. The event was attended by over 100 guests, including California Senator Robert Huff and his wife, Mei Mei; jewelry designer Robert Procop; and Todd Hoyles, Vice President and General Manager of Saks. Each guest was able to have their cookbooks personally signed by Grace O, taste the delicious items on the tasting menu and mingle with friends and meet new acquaintances.
The tasting menu included delicious appetizers prepared from recipes in Grace O’s cookbooks, The Age GRACEfully Cookbook and The Age Beautifully Cookbook. The appetizers included the following taste treats: Artichokes with Moringa Dip, Annatto Hummus served with pita chips and vegetables, Fig Salad, Wild Rice and Quinoa Salad, and Curried Chicken Salad. There were also two delicious desserts: Baobab Butter Squares and her Prune Walnut Bars. Thirsty guests also had their choice of either Pomegranate Iced Tea or Mint Agave Tonic—both very refreshing drinks to have at the end of a busy day. Both cookbooks are published by Skyhorse Publishing and are available wherever cookbooks are sold, including on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
“It was a lovely event and the turn-out was great! I think everyone had a good time, and I heard many great reviews about the food,” said Robyn Horwitz, director of marketing and special events at Saks Fifth Avenue, Beverly Hills.
The event was planned by Broadthink, Grace O’s FOODTRIENTS business consultants and brand managers. Saks, Grace O and all of the guests had a most enjoyable and ‘tasteful’ evening.
We don’t have a choice when it comes to aging, but we can choose HOW we will age – the foods we eat, exercise, and healthy habits can have dramatically positive effects on aging. That’s why Grace O created FoodTrients®, a website and cookbooks dedicated to great-tasting recipes that also deliver age-defying benefits.
Eating well doesn’t mean sacrificing the foods you love or satisfying meals. In Grace O’s new cookbook — The Age Beautifully Cookbook – she provides over 100 easy-to-make recipes that promote health and well-being. The recipes are built on foundations of modern scientific research and ancient knowledge of medicinal herbs and natural ingredients from around the world. From the looks of satisfaction and the praise from attendees for the delicious FoodTrients menu served at her Saks, Beverly Hills book signing event last week, it’s clear that Grace O’s recipes deliver great-tasting dishes with an age-defying purpose.
