New Resource for Product Recalls Arrive
It’s easy to buy a host of products from online, but nearly impossible to search every multiple government, company, and organization website to find recall and safety information on those items. But now there is a website that does just that — Consumersafety.org
ConsumerSafety.org uses a variety of sources to collect data about recent recalls, news stories, and dangerous products. They then build on that data by adding their own research and content, and making safety information available for free.
All their safety and recall information is organized into the four major categories of items that people buy and use on a daily basis. Each category includes information on the latest recalls, news stories, safety guides, and more.
- Drugs—Prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and controlled substances.
- Medical devices—Everything from elastic bandages to complex imaging machines, including implanted devices like pacemakers and artificial joints.
- Food—All things edible, including fresh produce, packaged and processed food, and dietary supplements.
- Products—Everyday items big and small, such as tools, toys, furniture, vehicles, and anything else that does not fit into the other categories.
They have an additional resource section involving “Health,” with news and information on diseases, medical conditions and additional resources to keep yourself and your loved ones healthy.
We are proud to work with this wonderful resource and we will be featuring their articles on our site from time to time in the future.
